The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency highlighted in its most recent Light Duty Fuel Economy Trends report that Mazda Motor Corporation is the most fuel-efficient auto manufacturer in the United States. Mazda has the highest fleet-wide adjusted fuel economy performance of 29.4 mpg and the lowest
CO2 emissions. This is a great accomplishment for the brand because Mazda has no hybrid or electric models in its lineup.
Mazda achieved the highest fuel efficiency of any other mainstream automotive manufacturer in the industry for the third consecutive year. Mazda's unique
SKYACTIV Technology made this level of fuel efficiency possible. This technology cuts vehicle weight and improves engine efficiency for outstanding environmental and safety performance without sacrificing vehicle handling and an exceptional driving experience.

Year over year, Mazda's fuel economy improved by 1.3 mpg while overall, the nation's fuel economy stagnated year over year. The numbers for 2015 are only preliminary but Mazda is projected to retain its fuel-efficiency title in the next report as well, with vehicles expected to average 30.1 mpg. Additionally, when it comes to
CO2 emissions, they are expected to improve by 6 grams per mile for 2015. These are both industry-leading figures.
Mazda has also been named by U.S. News and World Report as the 2016 Best Car Brand.
